Evaluation of ACL Graft Remodeling and Prediction of Graft Insufficiency in Sequenced MRI—Two-Year Follow-Up

چکیده

Background: Postoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) evaluation of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) graft maturity is a useful and practical tool that allows for assessment status remodeling stage. The purpose this study was to evaluate compare previously described methods in MRI. We identify factors influencing the maturation correlating appearance MRI with indirect symptoms insufficiency patients at risk. Methods: Retrospective performed 44 who received bone patellar tendon (BPTB) ACL reconstruction nine consecutive postoperative MRIs 2, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 72, 96 weeks. Graft evaluated using signal-to-noise quotient (SNQ) both sagittal axial planes. also assessed homogeneity by standard deviation (SD) signal intensity. SNQ correlated patient’s age, sex, weight-bearing, as well signs including appearance, posterior (PCL) buckling, measurement tibia subluxation. Results: observed results modelling SNQs from planes were similar. For SNQs, change over weeks nonlinear where clinical parameter increased week 36 subsequently decreased. does not reach levels 2. model incorporating relative SD (rSD) plane predicted subluxation proportions better than parameters measured plane. Our demonstrate greater associated less homogeneity, which could indicate good predictor insufficiency. In addition, proportion PCL buckling course study. Conclusions: very assessing ligamentization stage predict

ACL Revision in Synthetic ACL graft failure

The development of synthetic grafts as an alternative to biological grafts for reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament dates from 1980. The interest is awakened due to the potential advantages of: The absence of morbidity associated with donor site, and early return to sport . However, this surgical technique has had multiple complications associated with graft: mechanical failures (sy...

Evaluation of the effects of Ramadan fasting on lymphocyte subpopulations in a two‐year follow‐up

Today, the intractions of the immune system of the immune system, nutrition, and nervous system are one of the main research areas of interest in immunology and disease treatment. Due to changes in the mood, behavior, and diet of an individual during fasting period, the body's internal homeostasis is affected. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of Ramadan fasting on lympho...

Follow-up evaluation 2 years after ACL reconstruction with bone-patellar tendon-bone graft shows that excessive tibial rotation persists.

OBJECTIVE To investigate in vivo if the increased tibial rotation found in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)-deficient patients before surgery is restored 2 years after the reconstruction, during 2 high-demanding activities. DESIGN Prospective follow-up study. SETTING A gait analysis laboratory. PARTICIPANTS Nine subjects with unilateral ACL rupture, reconstructed with a bone-patellar tend...
